Body Series

This work explores theintricate relationship between the physical body, identity, and the sensationof touch, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizingdigital equipment, this project aims to capture images that reveal the genderedbody through a unique lens, focusing on unclothing as a means of exposing thecomplexity of our bodily presence.

By projecting an imageof my hands onto an unclothed gendered body, the project seeks to evoke thesensation of physical touch, emphasizing its absence during a time marked bysocial distancing and limited human contact. Through this visualrepresentation, the project invites viewers to reflect on their own experiencesof touch and the impact of physical presence on one's sense of self and identity.

In essence, this projectserves as a visual exploration of the human body as a vessel for identityexpression and its interplay with physical touch. By confronting viewers withthought-provoking imagery created during a time of global crisis, the projectaims to foster introspection, dialogue, and a renewed appreciation for thecomplex relationship between the body, presence, and identity in ourever-changing world.
